Rep. Steel Invites Orange County Students to Participate in Annual Congressional App Challenge

Huntington Beach, CA – Today  Representative Michelle Steel (CA-48) announced her office will be participating in the Congressional App Challenge. Each year, the Congressional Internet Caucus hosts the competition for middle and high school students from across the country to explore and improve their computer-based skills by creating original apps.

The district-wide competition is open to all middle and high school students (grades 6-12) currently living in the 48th Congressional district.  Winning apps are eligible to be displayed in the US Capitol Building and featured on Rep. Steel’s website. Students with winning apps are also invited to the #HouseofCode Capitol Hill Reception in Washington D.C.

Students must register for the competition on the Congressional App Challenge Website here. All app submissions must be received by November 1st, 2021 at 5:00 pm PST.
