Rep. Steel Launches Veterans Advisory Board and Hosts Service Academy Night
Huntington Beach, CA – Ahead of Service Academy Night, Rep. Michelle Steel (CA-48) launched a new Veterans Advisory Board yesterday with veterans that represent multiple branches of the Military and civilians who work in veteran services.
“One of my top priorities in Congress is to ensure veterans have access to quality and timely medical care, housing, employment, and education opportunities,” said Rep. Steel. “I look forward to working with this advisory board to stay up to date on issues impacting our veteran community.”
Following the Veterans Advisory Board meeting, she hosted a Service Academy Information Night with representatives from the U.S. Army, Naval, Air Force, and Merchant Marine Academies. Following remarks from Rep. Steel, representatives gave an overview of their academies and answered questions from parents and students about the application process.
