Rep. Steel Wishes All a Safe, Happy and Prosperous Lunar New Year

Washington, D.C. – Rep. Michelle Steel (CA-48) today shared remarks and best wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year. The Lunar New Year marks the first new moon of the lunisolar calendars and is a time for celebration and reflection for many Asian American communities. 

“In the year of the Ox, I would like to wish you and your family great health, happiness, and prosperity. This year has been challenging for many, but with the new year comes a new beginning with the hope of better days ahead. As we reflect on our blessings this New Year, I grateful for my family and their health… while our Lunar New Year celebrations will look different this year, I hope you all find ways to celebrate safely.
